"So I used them for a cloud security..."
So I used them for a cloud security review, i wasn’t all that impressed. A lot of the answers felt basic, almost like they were just going through a checklist. When I asked more detailed AWS questions, they seemed to kind of dodge them instead of giving clear answers. They might be fine for simpler reviews, but it wasn’t really what I was expecting.

"I’ll admit I wasn’t expecting much, but..."
I’ll admit I wasn’t expecting much, but Cloud Defensive actually made our compliance reporting a lot easier. The reports are clear and easy to work with for the most part. I do wish some of the filters were easier to find, because that slowed me down a bit. Still, overall, it’s a solid tool and I’d probably keep using it

"Decent, but I kept noticing the gaps"
Cloud Defensive has been okay, but the more I used it, the more I started seeing a pattern: little basic things I expected just weren’t there. A few tasks ended up needing workarounds, which got frustrating after a while. Support was helpful enough, so I don’t have a big complaint there, but for the price I really expected something that felt more complete. It’s not a bad tool, it just didn’t quite cover what we needed.
"Too many false alarms to really rely on it"
clouddefensive seemed good at first, but the false positives started getting annoying real quick. We kept having to spend time looking into alerts that turn out to be nothing, and after a while it was hard to trust what the tool was telling us day to day. Support was okay and they did respond, but the alerts need to be a lot more accurate for it to work for us.

"I’ve been using clouddefensive for some automation tasks..."
I’ve been using clouddefensive for some automation tasks, it’s saved me a decent amount of time. The scheduled scans and alerts are really useful, so I’m not constantly checking things manually. Even my brother, who helps me with some of the tech side now and then, noticed it made our routine a bit smoother.
The setup did take me a little while to get comfortable with, and I think some of the reports could be easier to read. But overall, it’s been reliable and does what we need it to do
"I like the tools overall and they’re..."
I like the tools overall and they’re easy to work with, but the service went down more often than I expected. Compared to some competitors I’ve used, it just didn’t feel as reliable day to day. When it’s working, it’s solid, but the outages definitely made getting work done annoying at times

"I reached out to support earlier in the..."
I reached out to support earlier in the week and didn’t hear back, so I followed up again a couple days later. Even after asking twice, I still never got a reply. Frustrating when you’re just trying to get a simple answer.
"Remediation advice felt way too basic"
I tried using Cloud defensive for remediation guidance, am I wrong for expecting something a bit more specific? I was hoping it would point me in a clear direction, but it mostly felt like surface-level advice.
A lot of the steps sounded like things I could already find in docs or random blog posts. Some parts were vague enough that I still had to stop, research, and piece together what to actually do on my own.
Maybe it works better for other people or different setups, but for me it was frustrating. I don’t think it really saved me time, and I kept wondering if I was missing something because the guidance just felt way too basic.

"Getting it connected was way more frustrating than expected"
I really wanted this to just plug into our usual tools and be done with it, but that didn’t happen. The setup kept failing in random spots, and I’d jump from the app to the docs to our settings and back again, only to end up at the same error. Maybe I missed something obvious, but the documentation didn’t really clear things up. What I thought would be a quick integration turned into way too much time spent troubleshooting

"The dashboard is honestly kind of a hassle"
I gave CloudDefense a try, but the dashboard just felt cluttered and confusing to me. Even basic things took way more clicks than I expected, and I kept getting lost jumping between pages. Some of the buttons weren’t super obvious either, so I was never totally sure where to go next. Maybe other people don’t mind it, but for me it was frustrating and definitely slowed me down

"A Rough Start That Felt Way More Chaotic Than It Should Have"
The onboarding felt like stepping into a little storm right from the beginning. I wasn’t totally sure what was happening, had to ask the same questions more than once, and the replies took longer than I expected. It wasn’t a total disaster, but for a first impression, it definitely didn’t inspire much confidence

"Decent for a quick cloud asset check"
It does show your cloud assets, and for a quick look it’s fine. But my gut feeling is that it’s not catching everything, because I noticed a few things seemed to be missing. I’d use it as a starting point, not something I’d fully rely on...

"Threat detection missed way too much for me"
I really wanted to like Cloud Defensive, but the threat detection felt thin in actual use. Some basic things I expected it to flag literally never showed up, which made it hard for me to trust the tool.
Maybe it works better for larger teams with more setup time, I’m not sure. For my needs, it felt incomplete, and I ended up double-checking too many things on my own.

"I tried getting started with clouddefensive.com..."
I tried getting started with clouddefensive.com, the setup process was way more frustrating than I expected. The instructions weren’t very clear, and I kept having to go back and forth just to figure out basic things that should’ve been simple. Maybe the service works better once everything is finally up and running, but getting to that point was a headache. For the amount of time I wasted, I’d expect some kind of compensation or credit. Not the best first impression.

"I was disappointed because the pricing..."
I was disappointed because the pricing wasn’t explained clearly upfront. I didn’t really know what to expect until later, and that made the whole experience feel a bit frustrating

"Pretty much what I expected"
I went into CloudDefensive expecting it to catch the obvious stuff and be a bit hit-or-miss on the deeper issues, and that’s basically what happened. It did find some real problems, mostly the more basic ones, so I’ll give it credit there. But our other scan picked up a couple things CloudDefensive missed, and it also flagged a few things that didn’t really seem valid. So overall, it kind of confirmed my initial feeling: decent tool, useful for a first pass, but I wouldn’t rely on it as the only source of truth.

"Alerts were a bit hit or miss"
I signed up mostly for the real-time monitoring, so I was expecting the alerts to be more reliable and the instructions to be clearer from the start. A few alerts came in late, and some of them didn’t really make sense, so I ended up checking the dashboard myself more than I planned to. The dashboard is decent, but not enough for me to fully trust it on its own. Support did respond, but the answers weren’t super helpful. Overall, it’s not terrible, but I’d be cautious relying on it by itself...

"The alert priorities didn’t really work for me"
For me, the alerts just didn’t feel prioritized in a way that made sense. I kept missing things I actually cared about because they were buried under stuff that felt way less important. It started to feel kind of random, that made it harder for me to trust the alerts

"Helpful docs, but a bit confusing in spots"
The docs were useful overall, and I did find some pages that helped me out. That said, a few sections felt like they were missing details or could’ve been explained a little more clearly.

"Why did the scan take so long?"
The scan felt like it took forever to finish. I kept waiting and wondering, how can something this basic be so slow?
